I am a Digital Artist and Lecturer trained at NUA and currently based in Peterborough. I am curating one of the art exhibitions at Welborne Arts Festival (13/14 June 2015) – www.welborne.org.uk/2013/Welborne%20Arts%20Festival%202013.html. The theme of this years festival is Art Meets Science and the focus of my marquee is Inspired by Science. I have a dedicated marquee in which I plan to exhibit exciting work from professional artists that is either inspired by, or linked to, science, in its broadest sense.
The main area of the marquee will be dedicated to professional artists and a smaller separate space to the artwork of local scientists. I hope that this exhibition will provide a rare opportunity for professional artists and scientists to meet in an informal space, with the aim of forging new collaborative interactions, and to meld science with art in the public’s mind. My collaboration with Dr. Don Lincoln from Fermilab in 2014 certainly had a major influence on my art and its presentation to the wider public.
The festival attracts art lovers as well as a family audience, so I am happy to include a range of media/artworks, both static and interactive. Submissions (a maximum of 4 pieces of work per artist) will be selected by myself and by artists affiliated to the festival committee, based on relevance to the theme and the range of submissions we receive. The art work will be hung to a professional standard.
We will not charge fees to exhibit and artists are free to sell their work. To help fund the exhibition we will require a 30% commission on each sale.
The deadline for submission of work is: Saturday 2nd May 2015. Artists should complete the submission form (available on request) with details of each piece of work (and provide a jpeg picture). This information should be sent to: andrewlogie@me.com
I am more than happy to respond to any individual questions via email and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards,

Hello Andy,
This is going to be an exciting exhibition, some interesting art has already been submitted! I look forward to,seeing your final selection.
It’s about time we linked the arts with science, they co-exist perfectly.
The website for the 2015 festival should be completed by the end of March, but in the next few days we will load the “taster” version.
