4 experiments with granular synthesis

Each of these 4 short soundscapes are part of my initial experimentation with granular synthesis. Each sound is created from actual radio wave recordings of each planet slowed down to 1% of the original speed. Granular synthesis enables you to slow down time but keep sounds at the same pitch and also change pitch but keep the sounds at the original length.

I used a demo version of a piece of software called MacPOD which is a standalone granular synthesiser which is quite simple to use and produces some very interesting and high quality results. The four files below are from my first experiment with this.
